Norwegian Rock´n´Roll sensation called The Carburetors is releasing new studio album after 5 years of silence and their drummer Chris Nitro spared a few words with us at this occasion. What he told us? You can know it all! All you need is to read it right here ;)

After 5 years of silence brake only by singles, The Carburetors are back again. What has changed in band in those 5 years and how it changed music of the band?

We have been through some tough times, but never lost the spirit for rock.  We felt it was time to give our fans a kick-ass album of fast forward rock 'n' roll. So we took to the studio and decided to do all the recordings live to keep it real. We wanted the tracks to be a bit more aggressive and heavy but at the same time stay true to our origins.

Can you introduce us your new album „Laughing in the Face of Death“?

Fast forward rock and roll - in your face!

What was inspiration for the music on “Laughing in the Face of Death” album?

We have always stayed true to our musical sources of inspiration, so that hasn't changed. Other than that, we find inspiration in the ups and downs of everyday life.

You already released single Shot Full Of Noise, which is getting pretty cool reviews and response from fans. How important are critics and reviewers for you?

The most important critics are our fans.
If the press likes it too, that’s cool.

You headlined Rockscape festival in Banská Bystrica few months ago. What are your feelings from that gig? Are you planning to come to Slovakia again?

The whole rockscape experience was so cool for us. We loved the crowd and the organizer we consider a friend today.
Yes, we will always come back to Slovakia, the fans over there are fantastic and Slovakia really rocks!

You signed new contract with SPV Germany and already released first co-single with band Psychopunch. How are you satisfied with label as well as choice of second band?

SPV are of course very happy to sign us! Hehe.. This is the first Carburetors album that is available world wide, and that is a huge deal for us! And as for the split single with Psychopunch, we are fans of the band and look forward to the upcoming tour with them in Germany this Easter.

Your schedule is currently pretty full now, but in last few years it was easier. How do you like to spend your free time?

We have worked our asses off the last few years, just as the years before. But nothing gets between us and our V8 cars and record collections!

What music are you listening in your free time?

You know, we are 5 individuals so we listen to a lot of different music, but we are all fans of bands like Motorhead, Chuck Berry, AC/DC, Kiss and Judas Priest, that is our common ground.

You are on the road even when not releasing new music. In last few years, you played in many festivals and chopper shows. What was the craziest memory you have from shows?

We did a show in Sweden. This old lady, propably in her late sixties, entered the stage and screamed "Oooh, you are so beautiful, I am going to self-explode!"  We took it as a compliment.

You are playing fast forward rock n roll. What do you think of motto “Sex, drugs and Rock´n´Roll”?

We love the rock’n’roll and the sex, but you can give the drugs to someone else.

You are climbing to the top, being called “Rock´n´Roll Sensation” and you just signed contract with big label. What is your biggest goal in music?

World domination!
