ROZHOVORY

Symphonic metal with incredible strength and captivating melodies. This is Dawn Of Destiny. The band just a few days ago released their new album "To Hell" and the opportunity to interview, I never miss. The following lines will have more say whether the album, concert, but also a new member of the band singer and bass player Jens Faber.

Hello. The band Dawn Of Destiny is the scene for ten years. How do you remember the beginnings of the band?

In the beginning I playeed guitar and Dirk (Keyboard) was the only one who is still in the band. We produced one demo and due to that we had some offers from record companies. We dealed with Shark Records (Stratovarius etc.) and recorded our debut album in 2006, released in 2007.

The band has been frequently assembly and the moment came a new guitarist. Introduced him to fans.

Our long time guitar player and friend Veith moved with his family to Sweden so we had to look for another guitarist and found him in Felix Rodermund who plays extraordinary. We are really looking forward to the upcoming gigs.

In Slovakia, you were relatively unknown band. Last year you to visit us along with the band Xandria. Think of this as a gig at the local fans impressed you?

It was a great event with a friendlich audience. I remember that we have been very tired because one day ago we drove from Germany to Prague, then to Budapest and then to Trencin but it was worth it.

Now comes the sixth album. To Hell after two years of a new album. Tell us about your current hot album?

To Hell is a concept album dealing with a young couple on their honeymoon. The wife is getting confrontade with her past and her past is marked by cruelty. We have two guest singers, Björn „Speed“ Strid from Soilwork and Zak Stevens from Savatage/ Circle II Circle. They both did an amazing job. Musically this one is full of emotions and different styles.

Things or events that inspire you when composing?

Daily news are enough inspiration to create something emotional, mostly painful and heavy. Most of the songs arise in my head and develop while recording it.

I suppose you have got to first review the album. They are important to you, or you prefer when fans say your opinion?

Until now we got very good critics for „To Hell“ and of course we are curious what people think about of efforts. We hope that they can comprehend the emotions in this album.

To what extent do you give them?

Feedback from people is an important thing to realise that you have to fight for the audience, to give your best in composing and performing. But of course we want to make music that we ourselves like and so we do!

After the release of the album you go on tour. With which bands you go?

Due to the fact thatit took much time to find a new guitarist there is no tour conceived yet. Maybe there is something coming in 2016.

Nowadays, the music already do not earn as once and thus takes more than a hobby. How did you do it?

It would be great if we could live for and from music but that’s unfortunately not possible. It is a hobby with a large value for us. We love playing live, recording albums and getting feedback from fans.

Do you have any hobbies besides music. What like to do in your free time.

Music takes most my free time. Composing for Dawn of destiny or other artists is the thing I love most.

Thank you for the interview and I hope that as part of the tour also visited to us. Do you have something else to say what would you like to refer Slovak fans?

We hope to be back in Slovakia as soon as possible. It was a great event in Trencin and we love to come back. Hopefully this will work! All the best.

Jens, DOD
