I had the honor to chat with Jonas Kjellgren of Scar Symmetry, who occasionaly talked about things which he shouldn´t have, and generally expressed his ideas not just about the new album but also about plenty other stuff around this Swedish bend. This interview is worth to read :)

What are your recent plans for future as a band?

Well, I guess it´s play as mucha s possible of course and we´re playing few swedish shows this spring and some festivals in summer and next autumn we´re planing an european tour and american tour...

And how do you prepare for the american and european tour?

I mean, not much.. we just chose which song we´ll play live and then everybody just practise those songs at home i guess .. and then the first show we all hope it goes well.. haha

Any ideas about the new CD thats comming up?

Eeeh no, it will be released this week so we will have a release party at one local club in sweden.

What do you expect from the new album according to fans and your own expectacions?

Well, I don´t know, I hope people will like it and I think it´s really good, I mean, we don´t know what to expect, as long as we like it it´s good...

So you like it and so will your fans...?

Maybe, you never know, but hopefully yes.. haha

And how is it different from the last album?

Well, I think the sound is much better then on the last album and also the songs are bit faster because we made it pretty fast...

So it´s real „metal“...

No, I mean we wrote the songs realy in hury and realy fast like ther´s no time and few songs are bit long I think for my taste.

Where did you record the album?

We recorded in my studio, in at Blacklounge studio and after that some parts in Abyss Studios.

What in your opinion are the key things to be succesful in music?

I have no idea I don´t consider myself to be succesful in music, I mean, whatever makes you happy, I´m happy where we are at and... I mean, if you´re going to do it for a long time then I guess it´s a good thing if you enjoy the music you´re making and also that you enjoy being together with your bandmates...we have the good chemistry i guess..haha...about succes, you can either measure it in Money or you can have the succes that you enjoy what you´re doing and you´re happy to be together with your people.

Yes, I hope you listen to our new album and I hope you like it and I really hope we can meet in Slovakia because we´ve never played there and it could be ...cool :)
