Keď sa Serhii po viac ako desiatich rokoch náhodou stretol so starým spoluhráčom Jurijom, toto stretnutie započalo vznik Tria Prima – death metalového tria z mesta Žitomir, ktoré spája divoké old-school riffy s melanchóliou doomu a stredovekým nádychom dungeon synthu v jednotiacej téme alchýmie. Ich DIY mini album predstavil odvážnu tematickú víziu, podporenú pôsobivým výtvarným spracovaním a výkonmi hosťujúcich hudobníkov. Pripravovaný full-length The Mortification sľubuje prehĺbiť atmosférický, príbehovo orientovaný prístup kapely, ktorá sa snaží rozšíriť svoj zvuk a dosah napriek nástrahám života a vojny na Ukrajine. Prinášame vám náš najnovší rozhovor, v ktorom vám túto zaujímavú zostavu predstavíme.

Serhii: Pozdravujem všetkých zo stredu vesmíru – Žitomir!
Ruslan: Ahojte, maniaci!
Ste mladá kapela. Predstavte sa nám.
Serhii: V skutočnosti je tu zaujímavá a dlhodobá predhistória, po ktorej bude mať všetko svoje miesto. V rokoch 2010 až 2014 sme ja a bubeník Jurij Sinicki hrali v jednej z najznámejších thrash metalových kapiel na Ukrajine – Violent Omen, s ktorou sme v krátkom čase dosiahli veľa úspechov: vydali sme 3 albumy a odohrali množstvo koncertov počas iba piatich rokov existencie kapely. Potom však nastal kritický moment vo vzťahoch medzi členmi kapely a ja som kapelu opustil, presťahoval sa do iného mesta, Sumy, založil novú kapelu Bestial Invasion a neskôr som sa presťahoval žiť do Maďarska, takže som s Jurijom viac než 10 rokov neudržiaval kontakt. Keď som sa vrátil žiť na Ukrajinu, náhodou som Jurija stretol pri svojom dome, vyriešili sme nedorozumenia z posledných rokov a on ma pozval na skúšku do svojej kapely, kde bol Ruslan gitaristom a vokalistom. Nakoniec sme sa rozhodli skúsiť založiť novú death metalovú kapelu! Nemali sme žiadne divoké ambície ani napoleonské plány, všetko sa vyvíjalo organicky samo od seba. Okamžite sme si našli spoločný jazyk a chémia sa začala meniť na alchýmiu!
Ruslan: Všetko sa začalo našim prvým stretnutím ako kapely. Najprv sme vedeli istotne len to, že budeme hrať death metal. Začali sme plánovať, ako to urobíme, a jednou z vecí, o ktorej sme rozmýšľali, bola téma. Po nejakej dobe sme sa rozhodli, že hlavnou témou bude alchýmia. Téma je dobrá, ale treba ju nejako prejaviť v hudbe a nielen si na ňu nalepiť štítok, takže sme sa nad tým začali vážne zamýšľať.
Prečo ste sa vlastne rozhodli začať s hudbou?
Serhii: Hudbu som začal robiť v 18tich rokov, keď som si kúpil svoju prvú basgitaru. Predtým som bol fanatickým poslucháčom heavy metalu. Ďakujem Stevovi Harrisovi (Iron Maiden), že ma inšpiroval vziať do rúk basu!
Môžete nám viac povedať o inšpirácii za názvom „Tria Prima“?
Serhii: Od začiatku sme sa rozhodli, že našou hlavnou témou bude alchýmia, takže sme hľadali niečo vhodné v rámci tejto témy. Po istom výskume prišiel náš basák Serg s nápadom zvoliť Tria Prima, pretože je to veľmi originálne a keďže sme v kapele len traja, hodilo sa to ešte lepšie. Paracelsus identifikoval princíp troch prvých (tria prima) alchýmie. Prví súvisia so zákonom trojuholníka, v ktorom sa dva komponenty spoja a vytvoria tretí. V modernej chémii nemôžete skombinovať prvok síru a ortuť, aby ste získali bežnú kuchynskú soľ, napriek tomu sa látky uznávané alchýmiou navzájom reagujú a dávajú nové produkty.
Ruslan: V alchýmii sa používali symboly na reprezentovanie rôznych prvkov. Spočiatku sa používali astronomické symboly planét. V dôsledku prenasledovania alchymistov, najmä v stredoveku, však vznikli tajné symboly. Toto vytvorilo zmätok, pretože pre jeden prvok často existovalo viacero symbolov a medzi nimi dochádzalo k čiastočnému prekrytiu. Tieto symboly sa široko používali až do 17. storočia a niektoré z nich sa používajú dodnes.
Čo vás priviedlo k téme alchýmia v hudbe?
Serhii: Nechceme byť len ďalšou nudnou a primitívnou kapelou, ktorá spieva o mŕtvolách, zombíkoch, smrti, satanovi a podobne. Chceli sme byť výnimoční po stránke témy a konceptu, preto som navrhol použiť alchýmiu. Raz som čítal Angel of the Western Window od Gustava Myrinca a tá kniha ma veľmi oslovila. Potom som napísal pieseň pre Bestial Invasion a obal toho albumu sa volal Alchemist, čo ma ešte viac pritiahlo k tejto téme. Vždy som ju chcel rozvíjať, no nemal som príležitosť, takže teraz s Tria Prima túto tému môžem naplno rozvinúť.
Môžete opísať tvorivý proces za vaším mini albumom „Three Primes of Alchemy“?
Serhii: Všetko sa zrodilo veľmi rýchlo, pretože takmer všetci členovia kapely majú značné skúsenosti v hudbe. Väčšinu hudby som priniesol ja a počas skúšok sme ju spoločne dotiahli. Často som na každú skúšku priniesol materiál na novú pieseň a dokončili sme ju v ten istý deň. Myslím, že celý proces prebiehal plynule, pretože materiál je zároveň dynamický aj atmosférický.
Ruslan: Obal navrhla Grace Ace Blood, vynikajúca umelkyňa so sídlom v USA, ktorá so mnou spolupracovala aj na projekte Cosmic Jaguar. Grace opísala ilustráciu ako fantasy dobrodružstvo, v ktorom náš bubeník Jurij vyrazí na výpravu, bojuje s príšerami a drakmi, zatiaľ čo zvyšok kapely hrá podpornú úlohu. Príbeh zahŕňa alchýmiu, nekromanciu a hudbu ako prostriedok prekonávania prekážok a naplnenia konečnej misie kapely: odniesť svoju hudbu do celého sveta.
Akú spätnú väzbu ste dostali od fanúšikov na kombináciu death metalu s doomom a dungeon synthom?
Serhii: Spočiatku sme plánovali hrať čisto old-school death metal, ale potom sme sa rozhodli začleniť doom prvky, aby sme vytvorili viac atmosféry a melanchólie. Sme veľkí fanúšikovia death/doom kapiel 90. rokov ako Katatonia, Anathema, MDB a Tiamat. Preto sme v piesni Solar Sulfur pridali doom prvky pre väčšiu hĺbku. Na pripravovanom albume budú tieto prvky hrať ešte väčšiu rolu, zatiaľ čo naďalej dolaďujeme náš štýl.
Ruslan: Náš basák Serhii bez váhania navrhol pridať prvky dungeon synthu, pretože jednou z asociácií alchýmie je stredovek a stredovek je dungeon synth. Všetkým sa to páčilo, takže sme začali pracovať na zapracovávaní týchto zvukov a prvkov do našej hudby. Čo sa týka doomu, prišlo to spontánne — traja sme sedeli u Serhiho a počúvali album Katatonia „Brave Murder Day“ a náš bubeník Yura pri tom prišiel s nápadom pridať doom do našej hudby.
Aké to bolo spolupracovať s hosťujúcou vokalistkou Anirou?
Serhii: Najprv sme na mini albume nikoho ďalšieho neplánovali mať, ale keďže sme mali veľké ambície, nemohli sme si odpustiť túto talentovanú speváčku. Pozval som Aniru v úplne poslednom momente, keď som v štúdiu pred masterovaním počul demo Solar Sulfur a uvedomil som si, že skladbe chýba ženský hlas, tak som ju oslovil a ona súhlasila. Je to veľmi skúsená umelkyňa, ktorá vie spievať v akomkoľvek štýle, takže do našej hudby sadla veľmi dobre. Natáčanie videa trvalo pár hodín v našom skúšobnom priestore. Video sme sa rozhodli sami aj postrihať, takže rozpočet naň bol 0 Eur — úplne DIY. Vo videu nie je jediný príbeh. Chceli sme len urobiť promo video, aby singel nebol príliš nudný. Keďže Anira žije v inom meste, nemali sme možnosť robiť s ňou nič náročnejšie, ale myslím, že v budúcnosti skúsime vytvoriť niečo zaujímavejšie. Bude aj na novom albume — tentoraz sme pre ňu našli tri skladby vytvorené podľa toho istého konceptu. Ver mi, znie to úžasne!
Môžete zdieľať nejaké zaujímavosti alebo výzvy, ktorým ste čelili pri nahrávaní vášho debutového albumu „The Mortification“?
Serhii: Album vznikol naraz a bez problémov, tá hudba z nás prúdila! Na albume bude 7 úplne nových skladieb, ktoré ste nepočuli na mini albume, celková dĺžka je 43 minút, čo je veľmi optimálne pre tento štýl. Gitarové sólo nahrával aj Eugene Maestro, s ktorým hrám aj v Cosmic Jaguar a ešte v jednej kapele — budete z jeho sól nadšení! Obal albumu nakreslila americká umelkyňa Grace Ace Blood, ktorá je autorkou všetkých našich ilustrácií. Zvuk albumu robili tí istí zvukári ako na mini albume — Nuts4all. A čerešnička na torte sú ženské vokály Aniry! Ako vidieť, máme tú istú tímovú zostavu ako pri mini albume, len tentoraz je to ešte rozsiahlejšie. Už sme napísali dve nové piesne pre náš druhý album a plánujeme ich v blízkej dobe nahrať. Máme množstvo nápadov a všetky ich chceme zrealizovať na novom vydaní.
Ruslan: Obal albumu navrhla Ace Grace Blood. Ilustrácia zobrazuje obal starej knihy s názvom Mortificatio, vytvorenej v štýle Higer. Mortificatio je alchymistická Kniha mŕtvych. Mortifikácia je o stave ľudskej existencie. Duša je už trápená, psychika je už otrasená. Fáza mortifikácie nie je kvantitatívna metóda (plus trápenie, mínus trápenie), ale kvalita duše. Ďalším prejavom heroizmu ega je myslieť si, že môžeme vylúčiť svoju mortifikáciu alebo „očistiť“ svoje komplexy. Podľa slov Jamesa Hillmana je komplex „mimoriadne nestabilná štruktúra alebo organizácia psychických prvkov, súbor predstáv podliehajúcich špecifickým zmenám a výkyvom, spojených emocionálnym archetypálnym jadrom: plexus, konštelácia prepletených motívov.“ Človek s komplexom, „neistý“ človek, trpí a váha, a jeho extrémy sa prejavujú v zložitých obrazoch, gestách a spomienkach.
Ako ste sa spojili s Trevorom Nadirom (Sadist) pre spoluprácu na vašom debutovom albume?
Serhii: Ja som dokonca s mojou druhou kapelou Cosmic Jaguar nahral cover piesne „Escogido“. Ich gitarista Tommy nám tiež nahral hosťovské gitarové sólo, takže som už mal dobrý kontakt s členmi Sadist. Rozhodol som sa preto požiadať Trevora, či by sa nepridal s menším príspevkom na náš album, a on súhlasil! Keď sme od neho dostali súbory s nahrávkami, bola to pre nás oslava!
Ruslan: Ponúkli sme tiež Rickovi Rozzovi (ex-Death, ex-Massacre, Left to Die) účasť na albume, ale nemohol kvôli turné Left to Die v Austrálii. Je to škoda, ale dúfam, že s ním budeme môcť spolupracovať na ďalšom albume!
Čo môžu fanúšikovia očakávať od vášho druhého albumu, na ktorom momentálne pracujete?
Serhii: Nový album bude ešte intenzívnejší a atmosférickejší! Nepáči sa nám stagnovať, preto stále hľadáme zaujímavé nové nápady a vplyvy pre našu hudbu. Vždy chceme poslucháčov prekvapiť niečím novým a neobvyklým! Ak porovnáš náš prvý mini album s debutovým full-lengthom, všimneš si veľký rozdiel v hudbe, a rovnaký skok bude aj medzi prvým a druhým albumom!
Ako vás ovplyvnili to, odkiaľ pochádzate – mesto Žitomir na Ukrajine?
Serhii: Áno, je to fakt, že miesto, kde žijete, ovplyvňuje vašu hudbu a myslenie. Žitomir je veľmi mystické a výnimočné miesto, je to ako Brooklyn v New Yorku, a zároveň je Žitomir akýmsi periférnym regiónom vo vzťahu ku Kyjevu. Zdá sa, že sme blízko hlavného mesta a všetkých módnych trendov, no zároveň od toho všetkého vzdialení a žijeme vo vlastnom uzavretom svete. To výrazne ovplyvňuje našu produktivitu, pretože nás to nevyrušuje a neodvádza od práce.
Ako ovplyvnila prebiehajúca politická situácia na Ukrajine vaše tvorivé vyjadrenie a témy v hudbe?
Ruslan: Vôbec nijak, lebo naopak naša hudba je únikom od všetkej tej temnoty a pekla, ktoré sa okolo nás deje.
Môže umenie a hudba slúžiť ako forma odporu alebo naopak solidarity počas politických nepokojov vo vašej krajine?
Ruslan: Myslím, že môže — mnohé známe ukrajinské kapely to robia na svetovej scéne.
Akú rolu podľa vás zohráva Nocturnus Records vo vašej ďalšej kariére?
Serhii: Majiteľa tohto labelu poznám osobne viac než 15 rokov a už vydal materiál mojej inej kapely Bestial Invasion, takže všetko bude v poriadku. Treba však chápať, že ide o malý label, takže nečakajte zázraky a obrovský úspech. Všeobecne si myslím, že s labelmi je teraz veľký problém — prestali byť relevantné a užitočné kvôli svojej lenivosti a tiež ľahostajnosti publika, ktoré nekupuje hudbu na fyzických nosičoch. Taktiež je takmer nemožné osloviť veľké labely s ponukou spolupráce. Preto je Nocturnus Records pre nás dobrá voľba.
Máte nejaké konkrétne posolstvá, ktoré dúfate, že si poslucháči z vašej hudby odnesú?
Ruslan: Počúvajte a kúpte si našu hudbu — pomôžete nám tak stať sa lepšími a produktívnejšími, čo je dôležité pre rozvoj kapely. Tiež sa prihláste na odber všetkých našich sociálnych sietí, aby ste boli v obraze o všetkom, čo sa práve deje. A nezabudnite, pandy sú tie najmilšie zvieratá!
Serhii: Nebuďte pokrytcami.
Aké sú vaše ciele pre Tria Prima v najbližších rokoch, najmä s pripravovaným vydaním albumu plánovaným na rok 2026?
Serhii: Už sme nahrali rytmickú sekciu (basa, bicie, rytmická gitara) pre polovicu nového albumu a plánujeme všetko dokončiť v priebehu pár mesiacov, takže v druhej polovici roku 2026 budete môcť počuť náš nový album, ktorý sľubujem, že sa vám bude páčiť!
Ruslan: Prežiť a nezomrieť v tejto ťažkej situácii počas vojny, a všetko ostatné sa potom ustáli.

TRIA PRIMA: ‘Music is an escape from all this darkness and hell that is happening around us.’
When Serhii bumped into old bandmate Yuriy after more than a decade apart, a chance reconciliation sparked Tria Prima — a Zhytomyr-based death-metal trio that fuses ferocious old-school riffing with doom’s melancholy and medieval-tinged dungeon synth under the unifying concept of alchemy. Their DIY mini-album introduced a bold, thematic vision, bolstered by striking artwork and guest performances, and the upcoming full-length, The Mortification, promises to deepen the band’s atmospheric, narrative-driven approach as they push to expand their sound and reach despite the challenges of life and war in Ukraine. Here we come with our newest interview.

Serhii: Greetings to all from the centre of the universe – Zhytomyr!
Ruslan: Hello maniacs!!!
You are a pretty young band. Introduce yourselves to our audience a bit.
Serhii: In fact, there is an interesting long-standing pre-history here, after which you will have everything in its place. From 2010 to 2014 me and drummer Yuriy Sinitsky played in one of the most famous thrash metal bands in Ukraine – Violent Omen, with which we achieved a lot of success in a short time, releasing 3 albums and giving a lot of concerts just for 5 years of the band’s existence. But then came a critical moment in the relations between the band members and I left the band and moved to another city Sumy, created a new band Bestial Invasion, and then generally went to live in Hungary, so I didn’t keep in touch with Yuriy for more than 10 years. But then when I came back to live in Ukraine I accidentally met Yuriy near my house and we settled our misunderstandings for the last years and he called me once to his rehearsal to his band, where Ruslan was a guitarist-vocalist. In the end we decided to try to create a new death metal band! And we didn’t have any wild ambitions and Napoleonic plans for the band, it all worked out organically by itself! We immediately found a common language between us and Chemistry started to turn into Alchemy!
Ruslan: It all started from our first meeting as a band. At first, we only knew for sure that we would play death metal. We started to plan on how we would do it, and one of the points we were thinking about was the theme. After some time, it was decided that the main theme would be alchemy. The theme is good, but it needs to be shown in music somehow, and not just hang a label and that’s all, so we started thinking about it.
Why have you decided to start doing music?
Serhii: I started playing music at the age of 18 when I bought my first bass guitar. Before that, I was a fanatic heavy metal listener. Thank you, Steve Harris (Iron Maiden), for inspiring me to pick up the bass!
Can you tell us more about the inspiration behind the name „Tria Prima“?
Serhii: From the beginning, we decided that our main theme would be alchemy so we were looking for something suitable in terms of this theme. After some research, our bassist Serg came up with the idea for us to pick Tria Prima `cause it`s very original and since there are only three of us in the band it suited even better. Paracelsus identified three primes (tria prima) of alchemy. The Primes are related to the Law of the Triangle, in which two components come together to produce the third. In modern chemistry, you can’t combine the element sulfur and mercury to produce the compound table salt, yet alchemy-recognized substances react to yield new products.
Ruslan: In alchemy, symbols were utilized to represent various elements. Initially, the astronomical symbols of the planets were used. However, secret symbols were created due to the persecution of alchemists, especially during the medieval period. This creation resulted in confusion, as there were often multiple symbols for a single element and some overlap between them. These symbols were widely used through the 17th century, and some of them are still in use today.
What influenced you to explore themes of alchemy in your music?
Serhii: We don’t want to be just another boring and primitive band that projects about corpses, zombies, death, satan, etc. We wanted to be special in terms of theme and concept, so I had the idea to use Alchemy for that. I once read Angel of the Western Window by Gustav Myrinc and I was very impressed by this book and after that I wrote a song for Bestial Invasion, also the cover of this album was called Alchemist and after that I started to be more interested in this topic of alchemy. I always wanted to continue this theme, but I never had the opportunity, so now I have just got the opportunity with Tria Prima to do it as much as possible.
Can you describe the creative process behind your mini album „Three Primes of Alchemy“?
Serhii: It all came together very quickly, as almost all the band members have significant experience in the industry. Most of the music was brought in by me, and during rehearsals, we worked together to refine it. I would often bring material for a new song to each rehearsal, and we’d finish it the same day. I think the process went well because the material is both dynamic and atmospheric.
Ruslan: The cover art was designed by Grace Ace Blood, a brilliant artist based in the USA who also collaborated with me on Cosmic Jaguar. Grace described the artwork as a fantasy adventure where our drummer, Yuriy, embarks on a quest, battling monsters and dragons, while the rest of the band plays a supporting role. The narrative involves alchemy, necromancy, and music as a means of overcoming challenges and fulfilling the band’s ultimate mission: to take their music worldwide.
What feedback have you received from fans regarding the blend of Death Metal with Doom and Dungeon Synth?
Serhii: Initially, we planned to play pure old-school death metal, but then we decided to incorporate doom elements to create a more atmospheric and melancholic vibe. We’re big fans of 90s death/doom bands like Katatonia, Anathema, MDB, and Tiamat. That’s why, in the song Solar Sulfur, we introduced doom elements for added depth. On our upcoming album, these elements will play an even greater role as we continue refining our style.
Ruslan: Without thinking twice, our bass player Sehii suggested adding elements of dungeon synth, because one of the associations of alchemy is the Middle Ages, and the Middle Ages is dungeon synth. We all liked this idea, so we started working on implementing dungeon synth into our music. As for doom, everything came spontaneously. The three of us were hanging out at Serhi’s home and listening to the Katatonia album „Brave Murder Day“ and while listening to it our drummer Yura came up with the idea to add doom to our music.
What was it like collaborating with guest vocalist Anira?
Serhii: Initially we didn’t plan to have anyone else on our mini album, but since we had very big ambitions, we couldn’t do without this talented singer. I invited Anira at the very last moment when I heard the Solar Sulfur demo at the sound engineer’s before mastering and realised that the song lacked a female vocal, so I approached her and she agreed. She is a very experienced artist who can sing in any style, so she fits in very well with our music. We shot the video in a couple of hours at our rehearsal space. We also edited it ourselves, so the budget for this video is £0. It’s completely DIY! There’s no single storyline in this video; we just wanted to make a promo video so that the single wouldn’t be so boring. Since Anira lives in another city, we didn’t have the opportunity to do anything more ambitious with her, but I think we’ll try to create something cool with her in the future! She will also be on the new album, this time we found 3 songs for her, which are made on the same concept especially for her! Believe me it sounds awesome!
Can you share any highlights or challenges you faced during the recording of your debut album, „The Mortification“?
Serhii: The album was composed in one breath without any problems, this music was pouring from us! The album will feature 7 brand new songs that you haven’t heard on the mini album, the album is 43 minutes long, which is very optimal for this style of music. The guitar solo was also recorded by Eugene Maestro, who I also play with in Cosmic Jaguar and one other band. You will go crazy with his solos! The album cover was also drawn by our American artist Grace Ace Blood, she is also the author of all our other drawings. Also the sound of the album is done by the same sound engineers as on the mini album – Nuts4all. And the cherry on the cake is female vocals from Anira! As you can see we have the same team as we had on the mini album, only now it will be bigger as a result. We have already written two new songs for our second album, and we plan to record it soon. We have lots of ideas, and we will bring them all to life on the new release!
Ruslan: The album cover was designed by American artist Ace Blood. The cover art depicts the cover of an old book called Mortificatio, created in the style of Higer. Mortificatio is an alchemical Book of the Dead. Mortification is an a priori condition of human existence. The soul is already tormented, the psyche is already shaken. The stage of mortification is not a quantitative method (plus torment, minus torment), but a quality of the soul. Another manifestation of the heroism of the Ego is to think that we can exclude our mortification or ‚cleanse‘ our complexes. In the words of James Hillman, a complex is ‚an extremely unstable structure or organisation of psychic elements, a set of ideas subject to particular changes and fluctuations, united by an emotional archetypal core: a plexus, a constellation of intertwined motifs.‘ A complex, ‚insecure‘ person suffers and vacillates, and their extremity is expressed in intricate images, gestures, and memories.
How did you connect with Trevor Nadir (Sadist) for the collaboration on your debut album?
Serhii: I even covered the song Escogido with my other band Cosmic Jaguar. Also their guitarist Tommy recorded a guest guitar solo for us, so I already had a good contact with Sadist members. So I decided to ask Trevor to take a small part in our album and he agreed! It was a celebration for us when we received the files with his recordings from him!
Ruslan: We also offered Rick Rozz (ex-Death, ex-Massacre, Left to Die) to be on the album, but he couldn’t because of the Left to Die tour in Australia. It’s a shame, but I hope we can collaborate with him on the next release!
What can fans expect from your second album, which you’re currently working on?
Serhii: The new album will be more intense and atmospheric! We don’t like standing still, so we are always looking for interesting new ideas and new influences for our music. We always want to surprise our listeners with something new and unusual! If you compare our first mini album with our debut full-length album, you will notice a big difference in the music, and it will be the same between the first and second albums!
How has being based in Zhytomyr, Ukraine, influenced your music and artistic vision?
Serhii: Yes, it’s a fact that where you live influences your music and thinking. Zhytomyr is a very mystical and extraordinary place, it’s like Brooklyn in New York, and Zhytomyr is also a kind of periphery for Kyiv. We seem to be close to the capital of the country and all the fashionable trends, but at the same time we are far from it all, living in our own closed world. And this greatly affects our productivity, because we are not tempted to break away and get distracted by other things.
How has the ongoing political landscape in Ukraine influenced your creative expression and the themes present in your music?
Ruslan: No way, because our music is, on the contrary, an escape from all this darkness and hell that is happening around us.
In what ways do you think art and music can serve as a form of resistance or solidarity during times of political turmoil in your country?
Ruslan: I think so, many of our well-known Ukrainian bands do this on the world stage.
What role do you see Nocturnus Records playing in your career moving forward?
Serhii: I have known the owner of this label personally for over 15 years, and he has already released material by my other band, Bestial Invasion, so everything will be fine. But you have to understand that this is a small label, so don’t expect miracles and success. I generally believe that there is a huge problem with labels right now, because they have ceased to be relevant and useful due to their laziness, as well as the indifference of the audience, which does not buy music on physical media. It is also almost impossible to reach out to major labels to offer them your music for collaboration. Therefore, Nocturnus Records is a good option for us.
Are there any specific messages you hope listeners take away from your music?
Ruslan: Listen to and buy our music, and you will help us become better and more productive, which is very important for the band’s development. Also, subscribe to all our social networks to stay up to date with the latest news! Also, don’t forget that pandas are the cutest animals!
Serhii: Don’t be two-faced assholes.
What are your goals for Tria Prima in the coming years, especially with the upcoming album release planned for 2026?
Serhii: We have already recorded the rhythm section (bass, drums, rhythm guitar) for half of the new album and plan to finish everything in a couple of months, so in the second half of 2026 you will be able to hear our new album, which I promise you will love!
Ruslan: At least just not to die and survive in such a difficult situation during the war, and everything else will fall into place.
