When three legendary musicians get together to talk about something big and new, the band, which will fill all the stadions. (And theese guys really know what they are doing!) And the fact that they mean it, that we all really may look forward for all of this, is right from the one: Herman Rarebell from legendary SCORPIONS. For more read the interview below.
Hi Mr. Rarebell, I am glad and thankful for this oportunity to make this interwiew with you. There are guys from Scorpions, Mad Max, H-BLOCKX, gathered in Rock Wolves. Who came with the name of this band? Were there any other ideas for the name?
The Name ROCK WOLVES came from the Wife of our Manager. She has a Dog, and he was howling like a Wolf to the Song Rock for the Nations. When she told us the Story we all liked it, and then we took the Name!
You have released new single with videoclip as well for the song „Rock For The Nations“ at the 28th of October. Did you notticed any feedbacks or reactions about it allready?
The Feedback on the Video is great and most People seem to like it! Especially in the USA we are getting great feedback and also in England we are on sevral playlists and rotations
There is 10 tracks on your first digipack. (Another one as a bonus for I-Tunes is „Inside Out“) What would you tell to your fans, us about it? I did find out that some of the songs are mostly about love. What (love including) was your inspiration?
Not all Songs are about Love, please listen to the Lyrics on " Rock for the Nations", Surrounded by Fools", " Out of time" and "The Blame Game". Those Lyrics are about Politics and our Society! We tried to be versatile as possible and especially this year gives you more topics as you really want.
For the future, may we look forward for next CD? What is the plan for the next few years, are you guys planing to stay together as a band, to play, to ROCK?
Of course we plan to continue and make more CD's and tour the World! This is why we are doing this...we love to record and we love to play live. We already have some more songs written for the next studio album and I hope hat we can get on a bigger tour next year.
How is your basic day, when you are not right at the studio or tour? What is you hobby, what you do, what you enjoy except music?
My basic day is about Music, even if I'm not in the Studio working! I have also a lot of things to do related to the Scorpions and my wife is a writer of children books where I also do promotion for.
What would you – as an experienced musician – say as an advice to boys, men, guys, who want to be succesful? Who want to get attention of the crowd?
I think I would advise to say : Believe in Yourself and practise every Day on your Instrument ! And don't give up and listen to all the things the people say. Stick to Your Guns and do what your stomach is telling you.
We know about you, that you have played with legends as SCORPIONS long and hard, exhausting tours at golden ages. Can you tell us how can you still hold all of this? What is your recipe to be fit and allways well?
I walk around 5 miles daily in fresh air and I play drums every day for about 2 hours! And I have an active wife where I can't rest for a moment.. :) But this keeps me young, healthy and active.
You have written some lyrics with SCORPIONS. Who is making lyrrics in Rock Wolves? Did you write the songs together?
We wrote the Songs together as a Band, I wrote most of the Lyrics. This is what I like best...writing lyrics for the songs in my own Rarebell style if you know what I mean.. :)
What is the most valuable for you: -Recensions in radio or magazines or feedbacks from your fans?
I would say All! I love to read good reviews and I love to hear our Music on the Radio and of course I wanna know what the Fans say? But in the end I have to be satisfied with the music, the band...the whole package. If I'm not happy..I can't sell this to anyone. But luckily in Rock Wolves all things are great and I couldn't be happier.
What do you think about the situation with new president? Do you think that it can be a threat for you or the music scene?
No not really. Why should he? Unless there will me a new PMRC which will not allow you to say the F word like they did in the 80s and even the Scorpions were banned because our lyrics and the covers of the album were too offensive.
At the end of this interview, I would like to ask you for some words for us, for the fans here in Slovakia. What would you like to tell us?
I like to say "thank you" to all the Fans out there for beeing so faithful to me especially all over those Years and that Rock Wolves got such a warm welcome everywhere. I hope that we can play in Slovakia sometimes.
